History
The Irvine Community Land Trust (ICLT) was established to help address the growing need for affordable housing within the City of Irvine. As housing costs continued to rise throughout Orange County, community leaders recognized the importance of creating long-term housing opportunities that would allow residents and working families to remain part of the Irvine community.
The Irvine Community Land Trust (ICLT) is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit Founded in 2006, ICLT was created to support the development of high-quality housing that remains affordable over time. In 2017, ICLT expanded its mission to serve communities throughout Orange County while maintaining its close connection to the City of Irvine. By securing land and working with experienced development partners, the organization helps create housing communities that expand access to stable and attainable homes.
Since its founding, ICLT has contributed to the development of hundreds of affordable housing units across multiple communities in Irvine and throughout Orange County. Through careful planning and responsible development, the organization continues to support housing opportunities that help maintain strong and thriving communities.
